Bishop Weeks
The Most Reverend Philip Edward Phlegar Weeks is a retired catholic Bishop in the International Communion of the Charismatic Episcopal Church. Having served as Supervising Bishop of Rwanda, Tanzania and Burundi, he now is Missions Consultant to the Patriarch of the Communion.
While an Episcopal Rector of the Church of the Good Shepherd, Charleston WV, he received the Baptism in the Holy Spirit on April 25, 1969. Eleven years later he resigned his 980 members parish, and organized Barnabas Ministries, Inc. as a missionary support ministry, encouraging a balance between the Sacraments and the Gifts of the Holy Spirit. From 1982 to 1998 his work concentrated in Asia. In 1998 he was received into the Charismatic Episcopal Church and began work in Africa.
